Experience its unique wealth of art and history spanning over ten thousand years.  Marvel in a rich culture influenced by the traditions of three continents.

When you journey to Cyprus, prepare for the out-of-the ordinary.  Dining certainly fits the bill and it’s one of the pleasures afforded by a Cyprus vacation.  With a diversity of seafood boasting octopus, crawfish, squid, sea bass and other delicacies, the bounty of gastronomic specialties found at Cyprus restaurants is beyond incredible.  Savor the flavors of foods infused with spices left by early settlers.  Keep an open mind and delight in treats like grilled lamb, smoked meats seasoned with coriander and fried Halloumi cheese.

June through September are ideal months for a vacation in Cyprus.  But if you’re a ski enthusiast, the snows that fall from the beginning of January through end of March are ideal.

Cyprus is not just a kaleidoscope of cultures but a plethora of contradictions that visitors find quite appealing.  While there are caves and landmarks showcasing paintings from the Chalcolithic era, there’s also a wide selection of stunning golf courses sure to impress even the avid players.

So take time to marvel in all that’s available to be discovered.  Travel to Choirokoitia one of the most important prehistoric sites in the Mediterranean region.  Admire the bounty of Roman villas showcasing mythological legends.  See the king’s tombs made of rock.  Head out to the Roman amphitheater perched high on a cliff to see a gripping Greek play.  And during the intermission, make sure to capture the breathtaking vistas of the sea’s azure waters.

Don’t miss the wealth of Byzantine frescoes found in most churches.  Many of these have been declared UNESCO World Heritage sites and rightfully so.  Browse through the galleries of the Archaeological Museum displaying handicrafts, jewelry and masterpieces that relate the island’s history.

Another feature that makes Cyprus a frequented location is its abundance of sunshine.  For outdoor lovers, it’s a perfect spot where to go hiking, cycling, diving and sailing.

As you can tell, the list of attributes is endless.  But Cyprus must be seen to be believed.
