We travel first to lose ourselves, then we travel to rediscover ourselves. We travel to view the world more clearly and closely, and feel it more truly.

 We travel to see beyond the view of our newspapers and television screens. We travel to expand the bounds of our knowledge and bring some of our own to the places we go to. We travel to feel younger, to a version of childhood, surrounded with what we don’t quite understand, speaking new languages, trying just to make sense. We travel to live simpler, with hardly any possessions, surrendering ourselves to chance. We travel to lose our sense of security habit, to gain the elusive freedom and novelty. And in essence, we travel to fall in love, again and all over again.

In a world full of wonderful places, there are a few that one must not miss a chance to visit.

Paris:  The city of Lights, and Love. Paris truly is the leading centre of fashion, culture, arts and fine living in the world. Of its sights, the highlight is the most recognizable monument in the world, the Eiffel Tower, especially beautiful at night when its shining lights dazzle the city. The Louvre Museum, with the enchanted smile of Mona Lisa, the medieval Notre Dame Cathedral and the glamorous Champs-Elysees, are not to be missed.

Rome: “All roads lead to Rome”, the old saying holds true even today. The Eternal City has ever been at the centre of the world’s history, be it as the seat of Roman Empire, the church of the Christian Pope, or as the centre of Renaissance, each chapter of history has left its relics to be visited. The ancient Colloseum and the Pantheon, the beautifully adorned churches,a trip to the Vatican City and attending an Italian Opera are things to look forward to.

Dubai: The playground of the rich, Dubai has the attractions visitors want – everything from snow-skiing to desert safaris and eclectic amusement parks – as well as Arab cultural sites, traditional souks and grand hotels. The Burj Khalifa, tallest tower in the world, is a must-visit. A shopper’s paradise, and don’t forget to carry your business card scanner along, you never know where you may find yourself with a new group of investors.

Rio de Janeiro:  Samba-land. This city seduces and mesmerizes its visitors. It is blessed with scenic mountains and beaches. Rio is the city if carnivals, “Carnaval”, Ipanema beach, festa in Lapa and Copacabana beach are must visit. It is tourist friendly, but one must always be careful. And when not partying, you can always kick a ball with the Brazilian youngsters.
