Beaches are one of the top travel destinations on earth.

After all, the beach represents fun, sun and relaxation.  Travelers who love the feel of sand between their toes, warm sun on their faces and the sweet smell of salty sea air will get a thrill out of visiting some of the most beautiful beaches in the United States.
To find a spot for an amazing beach vacation, you may not have to go as far as you think.  There are great beaches hidden all around the coasts of the United States.  South Beach in Miami is one of the hottest beaches on the planet, and is a must-see for beach-loving travelers.  While South Beach doesn’t boast the powdery white sands of the Caribbean, the sand is clean and the water is warm and the shore stretches for miles.  Aside from a great sunbathing and people-watching environment on the shore, South Beach is home to some of the wildest beach nightlife around.
Up the east coast from South Beach are the Carolinas.  North and South Carolina are popular beach travel destinations, home to a number of exciting beach towns including the popular destinations of Myrtle Beach and Nags Head.
Further up the east coast is Main Beach in East Hampton, NY.  What makes Main Beach special is the hosts of millionaires’ mansions lined up on the dunes, which are an amazing site to see.  Main Beach also has a charming, old-fashioned beachfront boardwalk and pavilion for food and light shopping.
On the other side of the United States is Venice Beach in Los Angeles.  This beach is a hotspot for celebrity sightings and offers an array of exciting street performers, interesting shops and restaurants.
If you want to get away from the mainland, then head to Catalina Island, off the California Coast.  Catalina Island’s coastline stretches for 48 miles and is home to some of the best snorkeling in the United States.  Of course, even further from the mainland is Hawaii, which has six islands that are open to tourists with some of the most beautiful blue-green waters in the world.  Unlike any other beaches in the US, Hawaii is a tropical paradise that everyone should visit at least once.
