During the summer months, the Tel Aviv beaches are crowded with locals and tourists. Arriving at the beach during the early morning hours, one can see elderly and young early rises exercise and witness a truly unique local cultural image. Although it is much smaller in size than the Israel museum in Jerusalem, the Tel Aviv museum contains an impressive collection and some interesting changing exhibitions. In the permanent collection one can find very nice impressionist and post impressionist works. The Surrealists are also well represented in the collection, as well as some important twentieth century artists such as Picasso and Matisse.
Neve Tzedek
This is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Tel Aviv and one of the most luxurious and popular ones. The combination of old and new architectural styles makes it visually unique. The Neve Tzedek neighborhood hosts the Suzan Dalal center which is the home of the world famous Bat Sheva dance company.
